rihanna photo book 2019 review buy online
‘Rihanna’
One of the most coveted items this season is Rihanna, a 15 pound(!) coffee table book-slash-“visual autobiography” that features more than a thousand photos of the singer splashed across a glossy 504-page tome. Rihanna shut down New York’s Guggenheim Museum for the book launch, telling guests she’s been working with photographers and publisher Phaidon on the compendium for five years. Many of these photos are being made public for the first time ever.

The limited-edition tome measures roughly 17 x 13 inches and is a whopping two inches thick. The boxed set includes nine bound-in booklets and a double-sided poster. Purchase: $119.99 on Amazon.com.

Dyson V11 Torque Drive Cord-Free Vacuum review
Dyson V11 Torque Drive Cord-Free Vacuum
Look, it’s no secret that everybody wants a Dyson Vacuum and if you’re going to spring for one this year, it should be the Dyson V11. The newest vacuum in the company’s collection of covetable devices, the V11 features the same cord-free capabilities of previous models but with a longer run time, easy-to-read LCD screen and a 40% larger bin. The V11’s new battery and motor also deliver 20% more suction power than previous models.

What we like: Dyson’s “Dynamic Load Sensing” technology automatically senses the floor type (I.e. hardwood vs carpet) to adjust power and cleaning style accordingly. No need to change any settings or attachments. We also found the vacuum to be incredibly smooth and effortless – it glides over surfaces easily and a single swipe picks up almost everything in sight. No more repetitive back and forth.

Dyson says its filter captures up to 99.97% of dust particles and allergens. A single charge gets you up to 60 minutes of wireless use on eco-mode. Purchase: $699.99 on Dyson.com.

motorola razr 2019 review flip smartphone
Motorola Razr
There’s never been a better argument to switch to an Android than with this re-release of the iconic Motorola Razr. The new version features the same flip action of the original phone that came out more than a decade ago, updated with smartphone and touchscreen technology. Keep the pocket-sized device closed and tap on the phone to see your messages, calling functions and camera. Flip it open to access your full flight of features, like a 16MP camera, an HD 21:9 Cinemavision display and 128 GB of space for all your apps and content.

Somehow, Motorola’s design team has engineered a hinge that allows the Razr to close with both sides perfectly flush, with no gap in the hinge. It’s super lightweight, yet still feels solid and sturdy. And yes, the best part of the original Razr remains intact: you can hang up on a call by snapping the phone shut.

Fans of the new phone include Diplo, who performed at Motorola’s launch event in LA. “I had a Razr back in the day in 2004 and it was the first phone that was like an accessory or fashion item,” he says. “It was a status symbol to be carrying it around and I’m excited to see it back.”

The Razr is a Verizon exclusive and pre-orders begin on December 26. Purchase: $1499.99 on VerizonWireless.com.

Keurig Drinkworks Home Bar
Keurig, the brand synonymous with coffee machines and K-cups, is extending its capabilities to cocktails this season with the launch of its Drinkworks Home Bar.

Swapping coffee pods for cocktail pods (that contain alcohol), the sleek, matte black machine dispenses the spirits, water, carbonation and other ingredients to mix up your bar-worthy drink of choice in seconds.

The machine is calibrated to recognize each pod, to know exactly how much water and carbonation is needed — no manual shaking or stirring required. Aside from being a great conversation piece, the Drinkworks is a huge time-saver, and takes the guesswork out of making drinks, while keeping everyone entertained at your next party.
