Kent baker Sarah Callow pulled out all the stops when she created a special cake to mark Captain Tom Moore's 100th birthday today.
She spent three days at her home in Dargate, near Faversham, on the two-feet tall culinary work of art.
Sarah, 52, who was born and raised on the Isle of Sheppey, said: "My boys are now 19 and 25 and tell me they are too old for birthday cakes. So I decided to make one for a special person - and they don't come any more special than Captain Tom."
However, she needed some last-minute editing when it was confirmed the Army veteran was being made an honorary colonel for raising £32 million for the NHS.
