A Bunch of Ways to Sing Happy Birthday

Fun Versions of the Birthday Song

Here are a lot of ways to sing Happy Birthday songs!

Sometimes it's fun to spice up the traditional party tune, Happy Birthday to You. You've probably heard or added some little extras when singing Happy Birthday, like "you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too" and the long-loved "and many more." For a while the kids would go on for what seemed like forever with "and many more, on channel four, and Scooby Doo on channel two..."

I went on a search looking for different variations on the traditional Happy Birthday and the results are here. I hope you enjoy the Happy Birthday videos! Some are pretty traditional, some are totally unique, and some are wild and crazy.

Enjoy!

Traditional Happy Birthday Lyrics

Most people know this part of the Birthday Song:

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday Dear (name)

Happy Birthday to You.

But did you know there is another verse? It goes:

From good friends and true,

From old friends and new,

May good luck go with you,

And happiness too.

The Most Recognized Song in the English Language

From Wikipedia.com:

"Happy Birthday to You", also known more simply as "Happy Birthday", is a song that is traditionally sung to celebrate the anniversary of a person's birth. According to the 1998 Guinness Book of World Records, "Happy Birthday to You" is the most recognized song in the English language, followed by "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and "Auld Lang Syne".[1] The song's base lyrics have been translated into at least 18 languages.[2],

Fun Birthday Party Song Poll Question

Happy Happy Birthday - Emperor's New Groove

If you've ever had people sing to you in a restaurant, you will find this is hysterical. If you have never seen the movie and need some good laughs, I highly recommend the animated film The Emperor's New Groove. This clip is a "restaurant" scene. Our family now sings the traditional Happy Birthday song with the cake, and this one usually pops up after that, or at some time during the day. Clapping along is part of the fun.
